Hi! You have stumbled across a blog that has been written mostly in
Finnish. I am still happy that you are here! I made this page for you to
read and get to know me as well as my dolls. I hope you like it!
What is this blog?
This blog has been created for my dolls that I have been collecting since 2010! It's crazy how 14 years have just flown by. Sometimes I'll also post pictures in this blog of other figures and My Little Ponies that I also collect.
My interest in dolls grew little by little. The first time I stumbled
into Pullip -dolls was on the internet in 2009, when I was obsessed
about Hello Kitty! So I searched on Google for "Hello Kitty" and "Sanrio
doll". When I saw pictures of the Pullip Hello Kitty, I just fell in
love with that doll instantly! I was obsessed with Hello Kitty as it
was, so the fact that they made a beautiful doll of it made me very
excited. Later on, I went around asking on forums where I could get a
doll like this and I was told that you can not get these dolls from
anywhere. When I think back at this, maybe the person who told me that
didn't want me to start this hobby as well.
Now, I am very persistent in nature and when I really want something, I
will fight for it. A year later, I remembered Pullip-dolls again and I
decided to find out about them again. I was Googling them a lot, but I
still wasn't sure where it would be safe to order them from. I went back
on to that forum and I was complaining that I really wanted such a
doll. Later, someone messaged me and told me about Pullip-dolls and told
me where to get them. I was so excited and a few weeks later, I ordered
my first doll. I still own this doll till this day and it is still one
of my dearest dolls.
If you scroll down, I will be talking more about the dolls I am
collecting and what kind of doll they are. The camera that I use for
photographing is a Canon EOS 90D ever since 2024. Photos taken before 2023 has been taken with my old camera Canon EOS 500D. Every picture in this blog is taken
by me (unless I say otherwise, and copying or sharing these photos is
not allowed).
Pullips are 30 cm sized Asian fashion/collector dolls manufactured by
Groove. These dolls have a recommended age limit, which is 14. The price
range for these dolls is about 100 euros to rare 1000 euro dolls. The
Pullip-family includes Dals, Byuls, Isuls, Taeyangs, Namus, Yeolumes and
smaller versions of Pullips and Dals which are sized at about 10 cm.You
can change wigs, eyes, lashes and clothing for these dolls, even do
their makeup again. Because of the Pullips eye mechanism, you can close
their eyes and move them left to right.
What are BJD-dolls?
BJDs or Ball-Jointed-Dolls are usually made with resin. BJD-dolls sizes
change between small 10 cm dolls to 70 cm tall or even taller. The BJDs
price range is about 100-2000 euros, 40 cm MSD sized dolls are priced on
average 250-300 euros, 60 cm SD sized dolls are priced on average
300-500euros or even more. You can change eyes, hair, lashes and
clothing for these dolls and also do their makeup again. BJDs eyes don't
move like Pullips eyes, but on most BJD-dolls you have an option to get
different heads with different expressions even with closed eyes. You
can also just move their eyes onto different sides manually, because
there is no eye mechanism to do it for you.
What are Azone-dolls?
Azones are Asian collector- and fashion dolls. Azone dolls are anime
character-type looking and styled dolls which have Pure neemo bodies.
Ordinary Azones have painted eyes on their faces and a wig that is
rooted to their head, so they cannot be changed. Azone has created the
Iris Collection series of Azone dolls, which you can change eyes to (and
hair), though these dolls are taller than normal small Azone Pure Neemo
dolls. There are many different sizes of Azones. For example, 21 cm, 23
cm, 25 cm, 26 cm. There is also Picco Neemo -line Azones, which are
smaller than Pure Neemos. There are also taller Azones (Iris collection,
Happiness Clover etc.) which are 50 and 60 cm. For Azone in this
picture, you are not meant to be changing anything but clothing, but
some might redo their makeup again and get different wigs for them.
What are Kikipop! -dolls?
Kikipop! -dolls are 23 cm-sized Asian collector and fashion dolls.
Kikipop! -dolls manufacturer is Azone International, but before their
former base and creator has been Kinoko Juice. Resin made Kinoko Juice
(Mushroom Juice) -dolls are very rare and only sold in Japan. The price
range for Kinoko Juice -dolls is about 90000 jen or about 700 euros.
Nowadays, in the aftermarket, they can be priced at approximately 1500
euros. Because of Azone Internationals and Kinoko Juices collaboration,
Kinoko Juice doll fans could get their own Kikipop! -dolls all around
the world. Azone Internationals Kikipop! -dolls are not made with resin,
they are plastic, but even if the material is different than in the
original Kinoko Juice dolls, Kikipop!'s are still equally cute. For
Kikipop! -dolls, you can change clothing, wigs and eyes, you can also do
their makeup again. Azone collaboration Kikipop! -dolls are in the
price range of 200-300 euros.
What are Monster High -dolls?
Monster High -dolls are a fashion doll series published by American
company Mattel in the year of 2010. The sizes of these dolls vary
between 25 cm to 40 cm. MH -dolls have gotten their inspiration from
monsters and horror movies. They are also based on different mythic
creatures, which separates them from other basic market dolls. The most
well-known characters are, for example: Frankie Stein, daughter of
Frankenstein's monster, Draculaura, daughter of Dracula, Clawdeen Wolf,
daughter of a werewolf, and Lagoona Blue, daughter of a sea monster. All
of these dolls have their own specific style, skin color, clothing and
hair. These dolls are sold in ordinary stores as toys, so, in principle,
these dolls are not ordinary collector's dolls, but for me and many
other doll collectors, these dolls are only in a display case most of
the time and not played with. Some MH -doll collectors style and redo
their makeup, some keep the dolls as they are. These dolls are also
pretty transformative.
What are Nendoroid -figures?
Nendoroid (ねんどろいど nendoroido) -figures are about 10 cm in size made by
Good Smile Company. Nendoroid figures are usually based on anime, manga
or games. These figures are big-headed in appearance with a small body.
The reason why this appearance has been created is so that the figures
would look cute. These figures have changeable faces and other body
parts, so you can get different expressions and gestures. The Nendoroid
figures' price range is about 20-50 euros. The Nendoroid series also
includes other products such as Nendoroid Petite -figures and other
by-products such as plush toys.
Nendoroid Petite (ねんどろいどぷち) -figures are close to original Nendoroid
figures, but they are smaller, sized at about 6,5 cm. These figures are
usually sold in "mystery boxes", which include mixed
characters from a certain series. Nendoroid Petite figures don't have extra faces or heads with them, but you can change them between other Nendoroid Petites. Nendoroid Petite -figures are priced
approximately 5-15 euros. A full box of them which includes 4-10 figures is priced at about 30-90 euros.

FigFix -figures are the same size as Figma -figures (about 12 cm) and
they are plastic figures manufactured by Good Smile Company (Max
Factory). These figures have been "fixed" in the known posing position
of a certain character, so it would represent the character better.
FigFix -figures' bodies don't move, but these figures have some movable
parts like Figma figures. For example, these characters' heads are
movable. Some FigFix -figures might even have some parts that you can
remove, for example, a ponytail. These figures are a little bit cheaper
than Figma figures. The price range is about 25-50 euros.
What are Funko Pop -figures?
Funko Pop! -figures are manufactured and created by an American company
called Funko. Funko manufactures licenced pop-culture themed toys. Funko
creates plush toys, bobbleheads and action figures as well as random
electronics products such as lamps and headphones. Funko Pop!'s are
about 10-15 cm sized plastic figures. Funko-Pop! -figures have gotten
their inspiration from the Japanese Chibi "style", which means "short
and cute". Funko Pop! figures are identified by their big heads and
small bodies as well as big eyes. These figures' price range is
approximately 5-15 euros (with a few exceptions).
Re-ments are small very detailed plastic foods, sweets, furniture and
other similar toys manufactured by Japanese RE-MENT Co., Ltd. (株式会社リーメント
Kabushikigaisha-Riiment). The Re-ment name comes from the phrase
"reform the entertainment", which refers to their dream of reforming the
toy market. Re-ment has had many collabs with other known brands. For
example, Hello Kitty (Sanrio), Rilakkuma (San-x), Mickey Mouse (Disney)
and many others. One small Re-ment package, which includes food, sweets
or small furniture costs about 5-10 euros, the cost of the full package,
including a 6 piece set, is 20-35 euros. Prices on single for furniture
vary.
